Kindergarten
at St Cath's
Kindergarten is the best time to start at St Catherine’s. With our focus on creating solid foundations in literacy and numeracy, we have researched and implemented the best programs to ensure a wonderful start to your daughter’s educational journey.
St Catherine’s also boasts an incredible range of specialist subjects such as learning a language (French) and STEM and music lessons. After school opportunities are abundant, including gymnastics, tennis, swimming, the K-2 sports program and dance. Come and see what St Catherine’s has to offer!

A Life of Learning Starts in Kindy
With our single K-12 campus, we are thrilled to be able to offer our world class facilities to our youngest students. From Kindergarten, students have access to our STEM labs, swimming pools, a sports centre, a 500-seat theatre, libraries, dance studios, music rehearsal rooms, interactive learning spaces, recording studios, a gymnasium and much more.
From Kindergarten, our students experience a wide range of specialist subjects to create a rich and varied educational experience. These subjects are taught by dedicated experts in each field, rather than by our classroom teachers. Our specialist subjects are Languages, Drama, Music, Visual Arts, STEM, Library, Physical Education and Biblical Studies.
We also provide tailored support for students. Our Learning Enrichment department addresses a wide range of abilities, with a dedicated team of teachers working individually or in small groups with students who need extra help or academic extension.
"The best start"
“Isla has had the best start to her education at St Catherine’s.
There is a beautiful community spirit within the school and the teachers truly know the girls. We have seen an excitement for learning and a newfound confidence in Isla since starting Kindergarten.
St Catherine’s is a wonderful environment for girls to reach and exceed their potential.”
Karen and Karthik, Kindergarten parents
'Her happy place'
“We have shed many happy tears over our daughter Mila finding independence and a sense of belonging since becoming a St Catherine’s girl.
We are constantly impressed by Mila’s teachers. There is a high level of communication, structure and planning that sits behind the scenes to allow for a fun learning environment during class time.
On Saturdays Mila asks to go to school – we are so thrilled to have found her ‘happy place’.”
